Whitewater kayaking

At the beginning of the summer, we headed to Ottawa to check out some kayaks for Alex and his friends Jan and Kyle. Although not planning on it, I ended up getting one too! Here are a few pictures of us at various times during the summer, using our kayaks!

Whitewater Canoeing in Algonquin

On the Canada Day long weekend we went to Ottawa for a day of kayaking and partying with Alex's friends. Then we headed to Algonquin for some whitewater canoeing on the Petawawa River! It was our first time and we had a great adventure. We went down one rapid and smashed the canoe into a huge rock, but we didn't capsize! Check out the picture of us going down (that's me in the front!). We also went geocaching in Algonquin, and dropped off this little duck TB. Great time overall!
