Count Me Out

Cup of coffee, out on the freeway
I hear the morning geese
I think of beaches, maybe of dying,
I buy a magazine

And change the channels,
wash the windows,
envy my children's dreams
Frozen dinner, dull conversation
what does it all mean

If this is the car that I must drive to the job
that I'm to keep for the house
And the man I don’t love
Count me out, count me out

Measure the minutes,
wait for the weekend
something will happen then
i drink til something comes out of hiding
til i believe again

so i change the channels, change the bedsheets
envy my children's dreams
change the channels, change the bedsheets,
what does it all mean...

If this the car that I must drive to the job
that I'm to keep for the house
And the man I don’t love
Count me out, count me out

Count Me Out
